Baccarat is a sophisticated game originating in Europe. Players can wager on the player, the banker, or a tie, while trying to obtain a total card value closest to nine. Two hands of two cards are dealt, one representing the player’s hand and one representing the banker’s hand. Depending on the value of the hands, a third card may be drawn for each hand. The winning hand is the one with a card total closest to nine.
At the beginning of each game you are required to place a wager at Oncasinogames. This amount appears in the betting areas on the table top.
Select a chip value of either $1, $5, $10, $25, or $100.
Click on each betting area until the number of chips displayed equals the amount you wish to bet. Bets, can be placed on the player’s hand, the banker’s hand, a tie or a combination of the tie bet and one other bet. You cannot place a bet on the player and banker in the same game.
To reduce your bet amount, right-click the betting circle to remove chips. Your bet will be reduced by the amount of the currently selected chip.
Click Deal. Both you and the banker will be dealt two cards face up. Depending on the cards received, both parties may be dealt an additional third card. A winner is determined.
Baccarat uses a four deck shoe.
No hand receives more than three cards.
When the player and banker hands are equal then the hand is declared a tie.
Tens and face cards are worth zero, aces are worth one, and all other cards are worth their face value. If the value of a hand exceeds nine, then the value is adjusted by subtracting 10 from the total.
Third Card Rule
After the first two cards are dealt to both the player and banker, a third card may be dealt, subject to the Third Card Rule. The player’s hand is always played first followed by the banker’s hand. The following tables illustrate how the player’s hand determines how the banker’s hand will be played out.
If the tie wager mentioned above is part of a combination bet; for example, a tie wager plus a player hand wager, and the outcome is a tie, then the player hand wager becomes a push and the payout results from the tie wager alone.
